These easy little fruit-based desserts are like a thick fruit smoothie, but with added avocado, oats & cacao powder to turn it into a thick mousse-like snack or recipe. I usually add more fruit on top to serve, with the banana, berries and dates inside the mousse, you can get your Greger-recommended 4 fruit servings a day in one small but satisfying bowl. I often add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric per person, plus a few pinches of black pepper, an amazing combination that you can find out all about here.
We are celebrating the All Black’s win this morning with these delicious little vegan puddings! A rich chocolate & berry mousse. So decadent and so incredibly easy, just throw it all in a blender and serve.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
- 2 medium bananas
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/4 cup gluten-free oats
- 3 tablespoons raw cacao powder
- 2 medjool dates, pitted
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
- Serve straight away, or chill for a few hours. Serve with more berries, fruit and chopped nuts, if desired.
