Adrenal Cocktail

An ‘Adrenal Cocktail’ is used by many of us with cortisol or DHEA hormone issues to help balance out energy levels. I don’t usually like juicing fruit at all, I prefer whole foods and all the fibre. But I think of this as medicine, a far more natural medicine than what my doctor wanted to give me. If I have this, I honestly feel a lot better and a lot more balanced for the entire day. If you are in the throws of adrenal fatigue or chronic fatigue, which is what my first Doctor diagnosed me with, this is perfect for you. You might see cream of tartar used, this is for it’s potassium content. I prefer using blackstrap molasses, as it has good amounts of potassium but in addition it is a great source of iron, selenium and magnesium.

I recommend consuming between midday and 2pm to prevent an afternoon slump.

 

Adrenal Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 medium organic oranges
  • 1 medium organic lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon blackstrap molasses

Instructions

  1. Juice your oranges and lemon.
  2. Mix all ingredients together, whisk or stir vigorously to combine the molasses well.
  3. Consume immediately.
